AutoTech Engineering Alternators require a .5 inch smaller belt than your OEM Alternator

AutoTech Engineering alternators need a minimum of 650rpm to charge.

Unless otherwise quoted or instructed, our units come with the OEM voltage output for plug-and-play alternators. The quoted voltage settings are already built into the alternator's voltage regulator. Remember that in PCM- and ECU-controlled vehicles, the vehicle's “brain/computer” controls the voltage.

What is a Bypass?
If you choose to have a bypass, you are wiring around the PCM or ECU voltage control. This allows us to customize the charging voltage beyond what the vehicle’s computer normally permits. In most cases, the battery warning light will remain illuminated.

Bypass charging voltage: 14.8V.

Important: A PCM/ECU bypass is required when using the boosted harness.
