2008–2013 Dodge Avenger 2.4L High-Output Alternator

This AutoTech Engineering high-output alternator fits the 2008–2013 Dodge Avenger with the 2.4L four-cylinder engine. Select the required amperage, regulation, bypass, booster-harness, and powder-coat options above.

Output and Installation Details

  • Available amperages: 240A, 320A, and 370A
  • Published small-case output reference: 160A at 650 RPM; full output by 1,800 RPM
  • Minimum charging speed: 650 RPM
  • Belt requirement: Use a belt approximately 0.5 inch shorter than the OEM belt

Voltage Control Options

Unless otherwise quoted or instructed, plug-and-play units use the OEM voltage output. On PCM- or ECU-controlled vehicles, the vehicle computer normally controls charging voltage.

  • PCM bypass: Bypasses computer voltage control and uses a published 14.8V charging setting. The battery warning light may remain illuminated.
  • Booster harness: Available as an optional add-on through the selector above. A PCM/ECU bypass is required when using the booster harness.
