2004-2006 Scion xB 1.5L High-Output Alternator

Upgrade a 2004-2006 Scion xB 1.5L charging system with an AutoTech Engineering high-output alternator. Choose 180A, 240A or 320A output, then enter the exact year, make, model and engine size in the required field so fitment can be confirmed before the alternator is built.

Vehicle Fitment

  • 2004-2006 Scion xB L4 1.5L (1497cc)
  • 2004 Scion xA L4 1.5L (1497cc)
  • 2000-2004 Toyota Echo L4 1.5L (1497cc)

Output and Installation Specifications

  • Available output options: 180A, 240A and 320A
  • Minimum charging speed: 650 RPM
  • Belt requirement: Use a belt 0.5 inch shorter than the OEM belt

Voltage, Boosted Harness and PCM Bypass

Unless otherwise quoted or selected, plug-and-play units use the OEM voltage setting. On PCM- or ECU-controlled vehicles, the vehicle computer normally controls charging voltage.

Boosted harness options: The options available on this listing are 15.3V with one diode or 15.5V with two diodes. The selected diode arrives installed in the harness.

PCM/ECU bypass: A bypass changes charging control from the vehicle computer and sets charging voltage to 14.8V. A bypass is required when using a boosted harness. In most cases, the battery warning light will remain illuminated after a bypass.
