2003 Honda Accord 3.0L High Output Alternator

This AutoTech Engineering small-case high-output alternator is built for the 2003 Honda Accord V6 3.0L application and is available in 240A or 320A configurations. Enter the vehicle year, make, model and engine in the required fitment field before ordering.

Fitment and Charging Specifications

  • Vehicle: 2003 Honda Accord
  • Engine: V6 3.0L, 2,977cc
  • Available amperages: 240A and 320A
  • Output at 650 RPM: 160 amps
  • Full rated output speed: 1,800 RPM
  • Minimum charging speed: 650 RPM

Belt requirement: This AutoTech Engineering alternator requires a belt 0.5 inch shorter than the OEM alternator belt.

Voltage Control, PCM Bypass and Boosted Harness

Unless otherwise quoted or instructed, plug-and-play units use the OEM voltage output. On PCM- or ECU-controlled vehicles, the vehicle computer controls charging voltage.

  • Boosted harness: Available at an additional cost with the diode installed. Current selectable charging-voltage options are 15.3V and 15.5V.
  • PCM/ECU bypass: Routes around factory computer voltage control and provides a 14.8V charging setting.
  • Important: A PCM/ECU bypass is required when using the boosted harness.
  • Bypass indicator: In most cases, the battery warning light will remain illuminated when a bypass is used.
