The factory midrange location is extremely lacking in both sound quality and the aftermarket speaker selection that will fit. This set of speaker pods installs in place of the factory storage net using the factory hardware. Cutting of the door panel is not necessary when installing most aftermarket speakers as this pod offers up to 2.75″ of depth. Removal of the door can still be done when wired with a quick disconnect plug.
